Introduction to Zaitoon Tara

Rice Bran Oil is the extracted from the germ and inner husk of rice. It is notable for its high smoke point and antioxidant properties.


The Company is using physical refining process to refine this health friendly oil. Physical Refining Process adopted in the production of Rice Bran Oil has enabled high retention of antioxidants, Gamma-oryzanol, Vitamin-E (Tocotrienols & Tocopherols) and plant sterols (Phytosterols), which would otherwise be lost due to the use of chemicals. Physically Refined rice bran oil has greater effect on HMG-CoA reductase activity then chemically refined rice bran oil. Following are the drawbacks of chemically refined RBO.

Composition of Zaitoon Tara

Zaitoon Tara has an ideal MUFA/PUFA ratio with low saturated fats. It is a rich source of Vitamin E, an anti-oxidant. It is also a rich in the neutraceutical gamma-oryzanol and other constituents.

  • Cardiovascular diseases are the top cause of death in the modern world. Vast studies have documented that arteriosclerosis (blockage of arteries) is closely linked to eating habits, lifestyle and some aspects of economic development. Olive oil in Zaitoon Tara is rich in monounsaturated fat (Oleic acid) and antioxidants like vitamin E. They lower LDL-C (bad cholesterol) but promote increase in HDL-C (good cholesterol). Scientist has identified a compound in olive oil called Oleuropein (polyphenol) which prevent the LDL cholesterol from oxidizing.
